“Mom of 14-year-old twins, I recently created the Génération Dimanche association, to launch an SOS for young people in distress. Having been personally concerned by the subject, I want to raise awareness about the mental health of young people and break the taboo.
If adolescence is a period of transition and physical and psychological transformations, it is indeed the age of fragility. However, the management of these weaknesses is far from meeting the needs of adolescents in difficulty. Nearly 1 in 4 young people suffer from mental health disorders.
This is why I want to create, through my association and your support, Maisons Génération Dimanche, departmental reception structures specializing in mental health. These Generation Wednesday houses will be a health space for prevention, reception of families for information, a hospitalization space and consultation. They will be dedicated to the care of these suffering teenagers, a place where everyone will find all the means to rebuild themselves and envisage the future. Mental health is not a taboo. Let's talk about it.
